What is Fastpitch Softball?

Fastpitch softball is a team sport consisting of 12-14 players, and is very similar to baseball. Softball is played on a smaller diamond with a larger ball (up to 11-12 in/30.5 cm) which is pitched underhand, usually windmill style. The SSWMSA program focuses on teaching basic softball, fastpitch techniques and principles, promoting fair play and sportsmanship in a structured and supervised environment. Kids that play say they love it for the fun of the game, meeting new friends, cheering and being supportive of one another!
