Umpire Gym Sessions (Mini Clinics)

As most of you know, there is a shortage of umpires (lack of officials is a problem across all sports, not just softball), so please feel free to tell your friends, family, neighbours, enemies, and anyone else you can think of about these sessions.  We welcome anyone to come out and give it a try to see if it is something they might be interested in.  The sessions are completely free of charge, and are not mandatory, although they are highly recommended, as you will gain confidence that will help you out on the field. Pre-registration is not required.

 

This year, there are three days/locations the sessions are being held in Surrey.  The sessions run for eight weeks or so and I encourage you to make as many as you can.  All the sessions will follow the same general format and will cover the same material.  You can also mix and match between locations if you are not always able to make a certain day/time.  Due to New Years, the Monday sessions start a week later than the others, but the programme is the same.  If none of the Surrey sessions work for your schedule, there are also sessions being held in other locations.  Here are the Surrey locations:

 

Mondays: 6-8pm @ William Watson Elementary (16450 80th Ave., Surrey) - Jan.9-Mar.6

 

Wednesdays: 7-9pm @ Berkshire Park Elementary (15372 94th Ave., Surrey) - Jan.4 start

 

Thursdays: 7-9pm @ Bayridge Elementary (1730 142nd St., Surrey) - Jan.5 start
