South Surrey White Rock Minor Softball Association is proud to announce the appointment of Yvette Callewaert as Head Coach of our U13B Thunder 2014 team for the upcoming 2026 season.
Yvette brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to the Thunder program. A long-time contributor to SSWRMSA, she has coached across multiple divisions, including U11, U13, and U17 Rep levels, and most recently served as Head Coach for the U11 Thunder Select 2013 and 2014 teams. In 2023, she expanded her coaching resume by serving as Assistant Coach with the RMMSA Pride U17A, gaining additional experience in elite-level competition.
Yvette’s qualifications include extensive training through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), including:
Softball Community Sport - Initiation & Ongoing Participation
Softball Competition - Introduction (Weekend 1 & 2)
Make Ethical Decisions (Certified & Evaluated)
Planning a Practice
Teaching and Learning
Bystander Intervention in Sport
A community-driven coach who volunteers her time without having a child on the team, Yvette brings a unique and impartial perspective. Her player-first approach emphasizes individual growth, team development, and long-term success. She has played a vital role in preparing athletes to compete at higher levels and has mentored many SSWRMSA coaches — several of whom have advanced into Rep coaching roles.
